Senior Accountant

 

Parker + Lynch is partnering with a rapidly growing construction company who are looking for a Senior Accountant with five or more years of experience to join their team. In this role you will work alongside the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) providing support in all areas of the accounting function.

 

This position offers a direct path of growth within a company that supports a relaxed and low-key work culture with a tenured, close-knit team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the CFO with month-end close activities
  • Analyze bank and general ledger accounts, reconcile any discrepancies in line with GAAP
  • Continuously improve and build upon company processes and procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Prepare cost schedules
  • Track and record Work-in-Process (WIP) activity
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in Finance
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Open to learning new software. Prior experience with SAGE 300 preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to multi-task effectively and prioritize workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
