Strong Senior Accountant with 6-8 years of accounting & management experience is needed for full-time growth position at an established biotechnology company in Research Triangle area in Raleigh, NC. Parker & Lynch is seeking the top candidate who will play an important role in the organization by leading a team of staff accountants during accounting month end close and through the internal reporting process. 
This role will develop and maintain the accounting month end process, procedures adherence, documentation, and records management and manage a team of staff accountants to drive internal controls to promote effective governance and accurate financial reporting. This Senior Accountant role will report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities
•    Maintain primary ownership over the general ledger across all balance sheet and income statement accounts.
•    Improve the timely month end close process to ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled with appropriate supporting documentation.
•    Maintain the accuracy of financial statements to be prepared in accordance with GAAP.
•    Improve and standardize an accurate fixed asset management, tracking and reporting process/system.
•    Assist with the coordination of external audit activities and respond to audit preparation inquiries for annual financial statements audit.
•    Conduct ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Controller.

•    Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Skills
•    5 plus years of relevant experience, including managing others
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
•    CPA or pursuing CPA is a plus
•    Strong desire to lead diverse teams preferred
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams), ERP systems, and GAAP required
•    Knowledge of NetSuite preferred

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Hours: M-F; 40+ hours week
Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000
