Summary: The Purchasing Financial Analyst will be involved with financial analysis and planning activities related to procurement activities for raw material, components for manufacturing, as well as completed finished goods. In addition the position will provide decision-support for the freight and logistics solution for warehoused inventory and modification assembly.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop analysis and reporting to measure cost change by purchase commodity and category, for both performance to plan and year-over-year.  Provide cost trends, forecast expectations and impact.  
  • Collaborate with strategic sourcing personnel; assist with vendor RFQ, developing and analyzing comparable landed costs for off-shore sourcing.
  • Involved with Purchased Finished Goods roadmap and measure effectiveness of complete Purchased Finished Goods end-to-end supply chain solution.  
  • Perform make vs. buy decisions for proposed outsourced product proposals.
  • Evaluate required order quantities.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities including low volume and infrequent purchase components.
  • Support the Company’s initiatives as it relates to the Client Business Systems, Kaizen events, and Lean Accounting.

·         Partner with Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing/supply chain leader on key projects, providing complete business case support.

·         Measure/validate all procurement and supply chain KPI’s.

·         Assists the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Accounting Officer with the interpretation of the reported financial results which includes but is not limited to the identification of trends and the preparation of financial reports interpreting the collection of data and trends.  

·         Partner with logistics team to develop/implement warehousing and product modification center network. Establish ongoing reporting to measure network effectiveness.

·         Lead responsibility to insure compliance with internal control requirements

 

Education and/or Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations. MBA a plus.

  • 5+ years’ experience developing financial models, metrics, and reports that drive operational action and highlight performance wins/opportunities.

·         Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem-solving skills, including data mining and organizing.

·         Detail oriented, organized, and has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time

  • Experience managing projects including establishing goals, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and ensuring all stakeholders are properly engaged.
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional project resources under project deadlines. Demonstrate influencing and persuasion skills.
