An established financial services company is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to support the growth of their business. In this role you will report to the CFO and will oversee a large variety of finance functions including financial planning & analysis, financial modeling, monthly reporting and many other tasks detailed below. Salary will be in the 90-100k range plus bonus and great benefits.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide robust modeling and reporting to facilitate executive level decisioning. Prepare ad hoc reports to assist with business decisions. Responsible for analyzing financial data and comparing/consolidating financial related reports, utilizing Budget Maestro and Excel. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Supports asset/liability management by assigning funding sources to loans and identifying capital needs over a 12-month period using portfolio performance, projected loan production, debt availability, and cashflow/liquidity.
  • Works with the CFO to develop liquidity policy recommendations. Monitors liquidity position weekly and makes recommendations to the CFO to manage both short-term and long-term liquidity positions in conjunction with the strategic plan objectives.
  • Provides information and analyzes results of loan program profitability analysis. Prepares profitability reports for analysis and presentation to executive management and the board. Works closely with managers, supervisors, and staff to identify changes in the way activities flow through and their impacts on costs. Identifies cost saving and revenue increasing opportunities using familiarity with operations and procedures.
  • Assists with the annual budget process for the company. Works with the CFO to provide analysis of budget variances as well as propose budget plan adjustments. Manages tools to project all aspects of loan revenues and expenses, including processing, servicing, interest, sales.
  • Assists in the evaluation of investment options and strategies. Prepare investment related reports for management, the Board and regulatory reporting.
  • Provides assistance to long-range planning efforts. As the strategic focus of the Company changes and evolves, assists management in identifying how these changes will affect the financial results of the company. Incorporates new information into the financial forecast that makes up the planning period.
  • Monitors net interest margins to ensure that products are priced adequately and capital is obtained at competitive rates to meet strategic goals.
  • Assists with the annual year- end accounting audit process and various other audits and exams conducted throughout the year.
  • Collects information from various databases and distributes pertinent information to other departments and the Leadership Team

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of asset-liability, financial analyst, financial modeling, financial engineering, or related experience with financial institutions
  • Industry understanding – a working knowledge of the lending industry as it pertains to balance sheet forecasting, profitability, core product lines, fixed income, and asset liability management
  • Understanding of financials and general ledger systems
  • Creative & strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Strong consultative, facilitation, and relationship building skills
  • Effective communicator through verbal, written, & visual presentations to all levels of management and external entities (auditors, examiners, potential funders)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
