Parker + Lynch is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the budgeting and forecasting efforts for one of the world's largest and most prestigious law firms. The role will interact with a number of key stakeholders, including executive management. 


  • Compare the actual results against the budget, as well as the forecast and prior periods to determine trends, highlight performance drivers, and identify areas of deficiency
  • Prepare financial reports and frequently convey findings to executive leadership, department heads, and Practice Group Leaders
  • Contribute to the periodic budgeting processes
  • Construct detailed budgets with guidance from Chief Financial Officer and assist department heads to develop their respective department's budgets 
  • Prepare budgeting materials and analytics for meetings with the executive team
  • Prepare full forecasts, relying heavily on key performance metrics to restate/adjust targets
  • Build complex financial and performance models
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
  • Continually identify opportunities to streamline reporting practices and improve accuracy
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Mathematics
  • ?3+ years of experience working on comprehensive financial analysis (law firm experience is given strong preference)
  • Measurable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is required
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and independent working skills
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Crystal Reports or a similar report writing software is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization software is a plus
