Requisition Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Peterbilt Corporate Accounting team. This member reports to the Warranty Accounting Manager and is responsible for various warranty analyses and monthly liability reserve reconciliations. The position interacts frequently with department
managers, Corporate Accounting Controller and may participate in meetings with senior management.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing a monthly standard warranty reserve reconciliation.
  • Works directly with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial results.
  • Ability to perform actual to forecast analysis as part of month-end close and record accrual journal entries.
  • Ability to explain accounting and finance principles to non-finance business partners in a simple and straightforward manner.
  • Drive proactive ad-hoc financial analysis by identifying what information is needed, where the data can be found and how it should be compiled, analyzed & presented.
  • Actively participate in special projects utilizing analytical skills to make recommendations.
  • Support PACCAR’s quarterly external 10Q, annual 10K and 11K processes.
  • Participation in documentation and testing for Sarbanes Oxley.

  • Education / Experience

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related fields required
  • 5+ years of work experience with Financial Analysis, reserve and expense analysis
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

  • MBA or MS in Finance or related field
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience with SAP
