Parker + Lynch is seeking a Sr. GL Accountant  to partner with a Tech Company in Mortgage industry. This position will be responsible for the set-up and management of our global consolidation process.  S/he must have good knowledge of and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-entity, multi-currency accounting environment, good understanding of the consolidation process and intercompany accounting. S/he apply generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.
Essential Functions

  • Manage the consolidations process to ensure all of our entities financial statements are properly stated in our ERP.
  • Upload trial balances and analyze the results of our international subsidiaries or entities not yet transacting in our ERP.
  • Manage the chart of account mapping for newly acquired entities to incorporate into company reporting.
  • Manage the foreign exchange rate tables in our ERP.
  • Reconcile the intercompany accounts and ensure that the intercompany accounting is properly processed.
  • Assist in settlement of intercompany accounts, as necessary.
  • Work with tax department to ensure alignment of entities in ERP is aligned with corporate tax strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly internal financial reports and quarterly and annual internal/external financial reports, as necessary.
  • Technical accounting research and documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of audit and review work papers financial audits by external auditors
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.

Skills

  • Experiences required for success in this role include:
  • B.S. in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem solving. Good knowledge of US GAAP.
