Parker and Lynch has an opening for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst for one of our clients in Charlotte, NC. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 3 years of sales and use tax experience looking for a new challenge. Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of indirect tax, with emphasis on US and Canada sales and use tax
  • Support processes for sales and use tax and property tax compliance, including the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for journal entries and tax account reconciliations.
  • Help with state and local indirect tax audits through research and data collection.
  • Prepare business tax registrations to ensure compliance in each taxing jurisdiction.
  • Communicate proposed tax legislation that could impact the business to indirect tax manager and tax director.
  • Responsible for implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales and use tax, and property tax
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency with Checkpoint
  • Prior experience with Avalara preferred
  • Prior experience with Sage or Workday a plus
  • Strong technical writing and tax research skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize each to meet various deadlines
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and results oriented
