We are working with a growing manufacturing firm on Indy’s northside that is adding a Senior Accountant to the team. This role offers the ability to work directly with the CFO and provides not just additional senior accountant level duties but also financial planning too. Responsibilities:
General ledger reconciliation and month end journal entries preparation
Complete & review inventory-related accruals, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations each month ensuring resolution of any issues identified
Perform all A/R and A/P responsibilities
Leadership in executing cost accounting, reporting & analysis, and inventory valuation. Seek and engage in continuous learning to increase business acumen and functional knowledge.
Execute the fixed asset accounting process.
Ad-hoc reporting and miscellaneous accounting projects
Prepare and record monthly recurring and non-standard journal entries.
Support the financial planning process to develop and communicate manufacturing costs and inventory elements of the annual operating plan and periodic forecasts.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
3+ years manufacturing accounting experience required.
Strong understanding of cost accounting and GAAP
SAP experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Professional verbal and written communication skills to include negotiation.
