Are you an experienced Accounting Analyst in Charlotte, NC with at least 3 years of experience looking for a new challenge?   • Responsible for the monthly accounting close process, including the analysis of monthly results to ensure accounting records are accurate
  • Support the general accounting functions, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxes and general ledger
  • Support the billing department, assisting the Project Managers and collaborate with the accounting and finance project teams
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements in a complete and accurate manner, free from inaccuracies through an adequate internal control system
  • Responsible for various ad hoc analyses and projects
  • Responsible for providing data to operations and finance teams on metrics and KPI’s to improve cash cycle
  • Support the Operations Management team in the review and billing of all customer accounts
  • Responsible for providing operating cost data, such as per diem spend and utilization
  • Collaborate with senior management, such as EVP and VPs, and assist in communications results and analysis to financial management team
  • Present reports to key management and make suggestions and observations
  • Review account reconciliations
  • Responsible for operational data accuracy and integrity
  • Responsible for documenting and standardizing the transaction process, and recommend process improvements
  • Prepare business models to support forecasting and contract pricing
  • Support annual close process
  • Support communication and scheduling with external auditors
  • Aid with special projects as needed
  • Aid with financial system implementation and enhancements
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in private and public
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Financial reporting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and technical memoranda
  • Must be able to read, interpret and analyze general busines periodicals, technical accounting literature, professional journals, and government regulations
  • Must be able to adhere to deadlines and work in a timely manner
  • Prior experience with Oracle preferred
  • Prior experience in construction preferred
