Parker + Lynch is searching for a Senior Property Accountant at a real-estate investment firm in Plano, TX. They control and manage properties all over the United States. The Senior Property Accountant would be a key member of the accounting team, performing financial duties for multiple properties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance
  • Manage quarterly and year reconciliations for all accounts
  • Make journal entries for accruals, corrections, reserves
  • Review and correct tenant ledger
  • Interact with property managers and asset managers in a regular basis to determine variances, provide insight into out of the ordinary expenses, etc.
  • Review the accuracy of posting by AP, Payroll and Collections outsourced services
  • Review and prepare tax schedules and reconciliations for outsourced tax preparers
  • Responsible for monthly commercial billing report for their properties
  • Approve invoices for their property
  • NNN reconciliations.
  • Develop, evaluate and oversee budgeting for as subset of properties
  • Provide budgetary analytical data evaluating budgeted Vs actual
  • Develop tools and systems to provide look-forward performance and make actionable recommendations

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus
  • Retail real estate experience
  • Experience setting up leases is a

  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
