WORK/LIFE BALANCE - SEEKING Experienced Senior Property Accountant with RE Industry background – West Los Angeles – Hiring Range is $75k-$85k plus discretionary bonus (the minimal overtime is also paid) – Interviewing in December for January start date!  Average work week is 42 hours

You will be responsible for the accounting, reporting, budgeting and cash management and lease administration for your portfolio of commercial/retail properties.


Duties/Responsibilities Include:


  • Responsible for the accounting for approximately 10-12 commercial/retail properties
  • Post monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly variance explanations.
  • Lease accounting (CAMs, etc.)
  • Set up and maintain recurring journal entries.
  • Reconcile and analyze trial balance
  • Review monthly fixed assets and depreciation expense for accuracy.
  • Prepare property financial statements.
  • Responsible for budgeting.
  • Prepare information for quarterly Board of Directors reporting.
  • Prepare debt compliance calculations, for lenders and authorities.
  • Process tenant corrections and adjustments.
  • Budget key financial information into annual property budgets.
  • Prepare annual tax and audit packages, and respond to auditor requests.
  • Interact, as necessary, with department heads on budgeting, account analysis, accounting, lease administration, reporting and process improvements.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Commercial property accounting experience preferred – strong corporate accounting experience will be considered
  • Public accounting experience a plus; not required.
  • Professional license (i.e. CPA) a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills a plus.
