Parker+Lynch is assisting one of the largest, family-owned organizations in the country with a direct hire search for a Senior Staff Accountant, located on the Phoenix/Tempe border. We’re looking for someone with over 2 years of corporate, month-end accounting experience- someone who is truly eager to grow with a company and advance their career. You must also have your bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you’ll manage full cycle accounting responsibilities, playing a crucial part in close and working alongside the Accounting Manager on a daily basis. What’s more is that you will join a company that’s recognized for their family-oriented and supportive culture, as well as their awesome leadership team.

Beginning salary is between $65,000-75,000 per year.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements
  • Complete sales tax functions including filings, remittance and compliance
  • Review and submit accounts payable and receivable transactions and research discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, post accruals and reconcile bank statements and GL accounts
  • Assist with booking fixed assets, tracking depreciation and maintaining bank relationships
  • Supper senior leadership with audit requests, internal control initiatives and Ad Hoc projects
  • Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years of corporate accounting experience, construction industry preferred
  • Above-average Excel skills- creates and uses pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Strong experience with journal entries, reconciliations, reporting and sales tax
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and team-player skills
  • Self-starter, high level of efficiency and eagerness to grow within an organization
