Senior Staff Accountant

     Are you an experienced Senior Staff Accountant in the Real Estate industry seeking a new change? Parker + Lynch has an opening for a Senior Staff Accountant. This position is in San Francisco, CA. Please see the desired qualification below and apply with us!

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carry out month-end close procedures including preparation and/or review of account reconciliations, posting of monthly general journal entries, analyzing Trial balance, P&L trends, and preparing variance comments for management
  • Create and issue property invoicing & deliverables
  • Code and make entries for monthly working capital package and reconcile intercompany account with Central HQ
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist in annual plan/budget preparation process by reviewing revenue projections and variance analysis for
    certain accounts
  • Review check run/funding request for certain 3rd party management properties
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Maintain the property listing, agreements, and other important files for the regional office
  • Prepare Quarterly schedules for the West Region
  • Assist the supervisor and controllers with projects as needed
  •  Experience: 

  • Three or more years of direct accounting experience
  •  Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  •  Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong excel skills
  • Perform numerical and financial calculations
  • Analyze and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency utilizing various accounting software and a
    10 key calculator
  • Compose business letters, expositions, summaries, and reports, using proper format, punctuation, grammar,
    diction and style
  • Exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate and/or arrive jointly at
    decisions, conclusions, or solutions
  • Strong communication skills
  •  Physical abilities/Working Conditions:

  • Work indoors approximately 100% of the time
  • Ability to lift general ledgers, files, records, and computer paper (approximately 5-35lbs)
  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
