Parker+Lynch is looking to fill a Senior Tax Accountant opportunity with a growing company.  The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all taxing authority deadlines, the completeness and accuracy of the information related to such filings and the management of the company’s sales tax tables. In addition, the Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for maintaining relationships of both internal and external client personnel.


  • Prepares Company’s book/tax differences for annual accounting income tax provision and related financial statement disclosures
  • Prepare support for deferred, NOL, credit carryforwards and tax account balances
  • Prepares tax-related journal entries and corresponding general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepares federal and state tax workpapers/calculations for returns, estimates and extensions for management review
  • Monitors asset additions and retirements monthly to calculate depreciation for tax provision, federal and state tax return filings
  • Reconciliation of TAX to GAAP fixed assets quarterly at a minimum
  • Maintain and manage a tracking mechanism for compliance functions performed in conjunction with outside service providers, including personal property tax renditions, payments of real and personal property taxes, and unclaimed property reporting
  • Work tax notices – calling taxing authorities to inquire about unclear notices, writing abatement letters as needed, coordinating payment of notices
  • Upkeep Tax Due Date Calendar in Smartsheet to ensure returns are filed in a timely manner
  • Assists in coordinating efforts with external tax advisors and external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls and respond to internal audit requests


  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • CPA Highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of tax-related experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of tax impacting a corporation with emphasis in income, sales, property tax and tax provisions as needed.
  • Proficiency in accounting for income taxes (ASC740, FIN48)
