A Senior Tax Manager CPA job in Boulder Colorado is available through Parker & Lynch. To be considered for this job, you will have around10 plus years of public accounting tax experience. This professional will be doing both review and tax preparation work with no business development required. We are looking for multiple tax professionals at different levels for this firm. This is a brand new opportunity to be part of a sought after public accounting firm.


The Tax Manager CPA is responsible for:


  • Preparation of more complex federal, multi-state and local individual, trust, partnership, and S & C Corporation income tax returns and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings
  • Review income tax returns prepared by staff
  • Stay current on tax laws, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with staff/team members of the firm
  • Become proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews
  • Responsible to develop and maintain strong client relationship on all assigned clients through quality and timely service and communication. This responsibility includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
    • PBC Letter Delivered Timely
    • Engagement Letters Delivered
    • Year-end planning
    • Call or reminder letters on all estimated tax payments
    • Year-end projection call on all clients that have or may have the need for projections
    • Communication of open items and managing to completion
  • Examine accounts and records to compute taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws and regulations
  • Obtain research and writing skills necessary to prepare engagement letters, PBC’s, and responses to tax notices
  • Prepare thorough and accurate workpapers, manage open items lists, and maintain ProSystem fx Engagement binders in accordance with tax department standards
  • Regularly perform self-reviews that eliminates errors
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments of varying sizes and complexity within given timeframe and budget








  • Attained a Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university
  • Close to 10+ years related Public Accounting experience
  • CPA license,
  • Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
