Parker + Lynch is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a Jackson, MI based client to be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, pricing, variance analysis and tracking KPI's.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Managing forecasting and planning process. Drive forecasting workflow and update forecast based on events at the subsidiary level. 
  • Establishing standard pricing and modeling for subsidiaries and responding to all RFP pricing requests
  • Create and maintain company Profit and Loss statements
  • Produce monthly FP&A package and variance analysis to assist budget owners and making recommendations to drive positive forecast results. 
  • Prepare operating metrics reports for business unit leaders and executives to explain business performance, resources utilization and status 
  • Prepare and improve the margin analysis and other analyses to help BU leaders achieve financial goals 
  • Identify key areas for proactive analytics that can have high economic impact to the business 
  • Provide and implement recommendations to improve both systems and processes that benefit the FP&A group as well as company strategic goals 
  • Desired Skills and Experience

  • B.S. in finance, accounting, business or equivalent and MBA preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years FP&A or financial analysis experience 
  • Superior Excel experience required to run the company’s full operating model
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment with rapidly changing business priorities 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with business and financial acumen 
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, ability to analyze financial statements and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task. 
  • Solid organizational and planning skills, bright, with a strong work ethic. 
  • Experience with use and implementation of financial systems strongly desired 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Comfortable working as part of a team.
