A Staff Accountant, Corporate job located in Seattle, WA is currently available for a dynamic, team-centric, and fast growing client of ours that's adding to their team due to growth! Masters or BA in Accounting with at least 2 to 5 years of accounting experience with increased responsibilities for a large publicly traded company is highly desired. This important addition to the team will be working closely with the: Accounting Manager, Sr. Accountants, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, IT, and Legal. This important position will be primarily focused on 1) Identify and communicating the impact of new system changes on existing accounting processes and 2) Identifying opportunities for improvement to processes and internal controls into the accounting processes throughout several divisions. A focus of responsibilities during the first 6 to 12 months will involve: Reconciliation of General Ledger and Balance Sheets, Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end reconciliations, Analyze multiple general ledger and balance sheets, Present financial information in a group setting with senior management, and will also be working on special projects in a team-centric environment related to strengthening controls and process improvement.

Staff Accountant, Corporate job located in Seattle, WA Job responsibilities include:

  • Working with a great team on to tackling reconciliations of complex ledger accounts, analysis, and even ad-hoc reporting surrounding month, quarter, and year-end.
  • Project based assignments focused around process improvement initiatives where you will be able to view the direction impact to several divisions
  • Reconciliation of General Ledger and Balance Sheets
  • Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end reconciliations
  • Analyze multiple general ledger and balance sheets
  • Present financial information in a group setting with senior management
  • Work on special projects in a team setting related to strengthening controls and process improvement

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA in process highly desired
  • 2 to 5 years of accounting experience with increased responsibilities with either:
    • Big 4, National, or large local CPA firm
    • Direct experience with large publicly traded company
  • Desired software exposure includes: Excel, Access, SQL, Outlook, or any Tier 1 ERP exposure
  • Must be comfortable communicating and interacting with inter-department managers
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Must be open to new ideas and solutions in a group setting
  • Drive and Persistence to handle technical GAAP issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, increase business growth, and or new policies and procedures outlined by company
