Parker + Lynch is seeking a Staff Accountant for a permanent position headquartered in Bergen County, New Jersey.  They are looking to add to their Accounting Team as they are a growing company within the manufacturing industry.  If you have experience in the manufacturing or automotive industry and are looking to grow with a company that can offer you industry and accounting experience, then please apply below.  You will utilize your skills in Excel, bookkeeping, and accounting to fulfill this role.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information in order to prepare journal entries and trial balances
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Ledger, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
  • Prepare monthly variance reports: Actual vs Budget and Actual vs Prior Year
  • Assist in corporate income tax return preparation and filing
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures are being followed
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Perform general bookkeeping and ad hoc projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college 
  • 1+ years work experience in accounting
  • Experience in a public accounting firm preferred
  • Experience in Manufacturing Accounting a plus
  • Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting, including depreciation preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)


Compensation

$70,000
