Staff Accountant - Aventura, FL

Are you an accountant with two or more years of experience? Are you looking to continue in, or break into, the real estate sector?  If so, Parker + Lynch is seeking a staff accountant for a full-time position with a dynamic real estate team in Aventura, Florida.


  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations with respective journal entries
  • Review, process, and manage the accounts payable function
  • Manage intercompany entries
  • Execute complete financial reporting for assigned funds and respective legal entities as assigned
  • Prepare and maintain adequate audit documentation to assist with the audit process
  • Prepare monthly investor distributions
  • Provide information for audit and tax purposes as applicable
  • Identify and implement efficiencies within the accounting process to streamline reporting
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to ensure accruals and entries are captured in the appropriate accounting periods
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2+ years of experience
  • 2+ years of experience in QuickBooks Enterprise
  • Experience within an organization that services multiple legal entities
  • Experience in real estate is a plus
  • Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups) and strong in Microsoft Word
  • Ability to be efficient and effective while delivering on required deadlines
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask
  • Employment type: This is a full-time, direct hire position (Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm with additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements)
