Thriving company with both significant operating businesses as well as an internally managed asset management division that report up through the family office Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) is Looking for a Staff Accountant. This opportunity combines asset management, cash management, risk management, financial planning, lifestyle management, administrative, accounting, estate planning, and tax services.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing multiple bank account and investment reconciliations, and preparing reports and financials for various trusts, individuals and small businesses. This position wears a variety of hats and requires a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain supporting schedules, workpapers, and electronic and/or paper files.
  • Maintain books and records for various businesses, trusts and individuals
  • Record journal entries in QuickBooks, Excel and Great Plains.
  • Assist with monthly closing and prepare financial statements for multiple small businesses, trusts and individuals.
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements and various reporting.
  • Reconciliation of bank, brokerage and investment accounts.
  • Manage highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

     

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time, work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A high level of respect and discretion for confidential information.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accompanying Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Experience using QuickBooks (preferred).
  • Experience using Great Plains (preferred).
  • Experience with family office (preferred).
  • Accounting degree or relevant work experience.
  • One to two years of related experience (preferred).
