Job Summary

Parker and Lych is seeking a senior accountant. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager – General Ledger Team. The Americas Controllership includes the Company’s controllership functions in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.

 

The Senior Accountant – General Ledger Team is responsible for day-to-day accounting and monthly close activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate intellectual curiosity and have a mind for numbers.

 

Primary Job Functions

 

  • Responsible for day-to-day accounting and monthly close activities, helping to ensure the Company’s financial statements and resulting supporting schedules are captured timely, completely, and accurately in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Duties include the preparation of journal entries of varying complexity, account reconciliations, and accounting schedules such as rollforwards, fluctuations and other similar analyses.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, translating, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Responsible for preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Responsible for maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Responsible for supporting business partners through ad hoc information requests and knowledge sharing.
  • Responsible for maintaining a complete and effective internal control environment.
  • Contribute to more complex accounting projects and initiatives alongside other members of the accounting, finance, and/or business operations teams.

    Qualifications

     

    Education and Training

     

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
  •  

    Experience

     

  • Three or more years of recent accounting roles
  • Oracle Financial Systems R12 (preferred)
  • Hyperion Financial Management (“HFM”) (preferred)
  • Blackline (preferred)
