Parker and Lynch has an opening for a Tax Analyst for our client in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 3 years of experience in tax to join a rapidly growing team and support the federal, state and local tax return compliance process.


  • Support 3rd party tax preparer with all required info for corporate income and franchise tax compliance, sales and use tax compliance, and property tax compliance
  • Support with inquiries from taxing authorities, audits, and other notices
  • Responsible for tax return/provision work papers to validate book/tax differences, tax return positions taken and apportionment factors
  • Support other departments on tax solutions to ensure that required tax info is received and proper tax methods are implemented
  • Understand and interpret tax law and assess company policies to ensure that taxes are prepared in accordance with tax legislation
  • Keep up to date with applicable tax law and general business practices
  • Research proposed transactions and tax consequences and advise
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements within tax reporting and filing process to achieve efficiencies
  • Effectively use ERP system and OneStream consolidation software
  • Responsible for tax-related journal entries and reconciliation of tax accounts
  • Support the maintenance of internal controls and record retention policies in compliance with SOX and other government regulations
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field of study
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in US federal and state income tax compliance
  • Knowledge of SOX and GAAP, preferably in public
  • Experience using Windows, Tax Compliance Software Programs, and MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance, specifically with FASB ASC 740
  • CPA preferred
