Vice President / Controller
Parker + Lynch is partnering with a financial institution in Seattle that is looking for its next VP level Controller! Do you have experience as a Controller in a Bank or Credit Union? Do you have in depth knowledge of the differences in Accounting processes within a financial institution versus a typical corporate setting? Are you eager to help a bank’s Accounting and Finance division grow to new heights? This may be the perfect job for you!
Job Duties
Provide Accounting department oversight and act as the secondary financial executive responsible for fiscal record keeping activities
Ensure that all Accounting processes are being followed in accordance with internal guidelines and GAAP
Ensure the accuracy and validity of all financial reports, and implement any changes with respect to GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
Partner closely with the Assistant Controller and CFO regarding employee hiring, evaluation, training, and development
Ensure compliance with state regulations, federal regulations, compliance standards, ITPP, BSA, CIP, and OFAC
Implement and streamline Accounting processes and procedures
Additional duties as the business and department may require
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or CMA required
Minimum 5 years of Accounting management experience within a financial institution
Ability to effectively utilize Accounting knowledge and credentials to implement necessary departmental changes
Highly analytical, excellent problem-solving ability, and a bias for thoughtful action with downstream effect in mind
Ability to effectively present information to management, auditors, regulators, and associates
Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow an Accounting team

Monday through Friday – Flexible start time between 7:00am and 8:30am – this is a salaried position with expectations exceeding 40 hours per week
