Parker+Lynch is hiring a VP of Finance for a national non-profit headquartered in West Los Angeles, CA.  This role is remote until further notice.

 

The Big Picture:

 

The VP of Finance will oversee all aspects of accounting and finance, report to the CEO and work closely with the Board as a member of the executive leadership team.  The role oversees 3 Director-level leaders in accounting, finance and HR/payroll. Upcoming projects include moving accounting in-house, selecting and installing a ERP and partnering with Directors at 20 chapter locations on the financials.

 

Who You Are:

 

  • Experience - 10 years accounting and finance experience with a non-profit funded by grants, including 7 as a leader
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree | CPA or Master's preferred
  • Software - ERP, Power Point for presentations, Excel (V-lookups, formulas, filtering, sorting, formatting)
  • Sage Intacct, Blackbaud Financial Edge, Aplos
  • Soft Skills - problem-solving entrepreneur | able to communicate financials to non-accountants
  • Leadership - very hands-on leader collaborating with other departments and presenting financials to the Board and Treasurer

    What You'll Do:

     

  • Strategy - partner with CEO on long-term financial strategy and planning nationally and at the chapter-level
  • Fiscal Management - provide budgets, financial reports, trend analysis and cash flow projections to executive leaders to help in planning and decision-making
  • Budgeting - work with department leaders to create annual budget
  • Audit - lead the annual audit process and act as liaison between external auditors and the Audit Committee
  • Operations - oversee all operations functions including legal situations, risk management and IT systems
  • Human Resources - understanding of HR and provide support on the department's initiatives | oversee payroll
