Our client is seeking a Director of Demand Planning for their growing location in Oklahoma City.  This role is responsible for the redevelopment of demand planning processes as well as assessing demand planning capabilities for present and future. You will execute demand planning across all core divisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a robust Demand Planning Processes across the organization. Leverage technology to drive optimization and efficiency. Evaluate current processes, identify best practices and cross deploy throughout the organization.
  • Recruit and develop a team of highly capable demand planners
  • Implement and lead a simplistic yet effective S&OP process
  • Improve collaboration between Demand Planning, Product Management, Finance, and Commercial Excellence to drive better alignment in demand expectations
  • Maintain and establish effective oversight and governance for demand planning tools and processes
  • Partake in continuous improvements in business processes and associated underpinning technologies
  • Drive the use of appropriate statistical models for future demand predictions and/or scenarios
  • Finetune and improve a forecast override process and event-based overlays. 
  • Oversee key demand planning metrics and tracking of benefits and improvements to the business
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to aid in the development of effective inventory strategies on existing product portfolio, new products, and effectively model and manage the complete product life cycle from conception to end of life
  • Create and maintain documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for demand forecasting and planning processes and systems
  • Provide leadership to a team of demand planning analysts by establishing both the long-term vision and near-term performance objectives
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline. 
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Analytics preferred
  • Strong background in planning systems; Demand Solutions (DSX) a plus
  • Extensive experience in leading S&OP process
  • Demonstrated experience in building high performance planning teams
  • 10 years of demand planning experience
  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • Expert math, statistical, analytical, and conceptual brainstorming skills
  • Possesses a strong understanding and application of forecasting principles, concepts, and best practice
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must
  • Strong ERP system skills, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system skills
