Not your typical role in lending. Working in the specialty market of agriculture lending, the person in this position will ensure the loan processing and closing process is efficient by coordinating directly with the sales officers and underwriters. This is a combination of loan processing and closing.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prepare commitment letters
Order and review title work
Work directly with title companies and internal team to clear issues and obtain clear title
Prepare required documents timely and according to commit letters and approved closing instructions
Coordinate with all parties involved with the transaction including sales officer, underwriter and third parties such as escrow agents and closing attorneys
Ensure closing documents and related collateral are accurate and complete
Prepare wire instructions and monitor funding
Qualifications:
Knowledge of loan processing, closing and delivery
Knowledge of general mortgage operations
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and flexibility to multi-task
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to effectively interact with a wide range of roles within and outside of the organization
Ability to learn and understand basic investor guidelines and legal requirements
Proven ability to work well independently and within a team environment
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in loan closing (additional experience in loan processing preferred)
Experience with legal documents and agriculture a plus
Two years’ experience in loan servicing and customer service preferred
Experience with LaserPro preferred. Experience with Farmer Mac and Pierson Patterson Docs a plus.
