Job Summary:

 

As a data engineer, you will collaborate with other engineers to create well-designed data systems. You will enable the organization to continue assisting small business owners in locating lending options that will allow them to make payroll during difficult times, scale to meet market demands, and make large purchases to scale their operations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain an effective data pipeline architecture.

  • Build infrastructure for ETL/ELT using SQL and big data technologies

  • Create large, intricate data sets that meet business demands.

  • Design data tools that help the team in building optimizing product innovation

  • Identify, create, and conduct internal process improvements: manual process automaton, data delivery optimization

  •  

    Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.

  • At least 3 years work experience (5+ is a bonus).

  • SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL proficiency.

  • Big data pipelines, sets, and architectures knowledge and experience.

  • Experience with message queuing, highly scalable big data stores, and stream processing.

  • Model and Data Governance experience

  • Able to lead a remote team with strong organization skills while supporting cross-functional teams.

  •  

    Job Technology Requirements:

  • Excellent proficiency in Python and another programming language

  • Spark, Hive, or other big data tools

  • AWS cloud services

  • Docker, Kubernetes, or other Container technologies

  • Bitbucket/GitHub experience or similar
