Parker + Lynch is seeking a Data Engineer for one of our leading mind and machine powered analytics clients in San Francisco, CA. If you are interested in working with information designers, data architects and business stakeholders to determine the needed metadata, data formats, structures, workload orchestration and pipelines capabilities.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business and technology priorities, success measures and data landscape to develop reliable data marts and data pipelines.
  • Share competitive insights and market trends and collaborate with the company’s technical community.
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • 35 years data engineering experience
  • B.S. Degree or higher in STEM fields such as Big Data, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in interpreting business needs to technical requirements
  • Agile methodology experience is desirable
  • 3+ years of practical experience in using SQL to build data pipelines
  • Ability to understand nonrelational and relational databases such as data structures and data modelling
  • 2 years’ experience in programming languages (Scala, Java or Python)
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Experience with software configuration management tools and environments such as Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.

    Additional Details:

  • This position is a fully REMOTE – Direct Hire role
  • This is a direct hire position with full time traditional hours (MF/ 8am – 5pm)
