Director/VP of Data Analytics

We seek to hire an experienced professional with a proven track-record in data strategy, data analytics, data standardization, data visualization and insights, who can bring experience and sophisticated thinking to the team to build a centralized analytics team. The Director/VP of Decision Analytics, under the guidance of SVP, Financial Planning and Analysis, will partner with Information Technology and leaders across various businesses/functions to provide them with accurate, automated, real-time and insightful reports. Individual will leverage AI/ML to solve complex problems and uncover opportunities for the company.

 

**Must come from the healthcare industry and must have experience in revenue cycle management**

**Must be hands on, 50% of this role will be coding**

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion a culture of data-informed, insights-driven decision making that drives business results by leading the company’s decision analytics strategy and initiatives.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of financial and operational metrics, and KPI’s including data related to financial metrics, operating metrics, revenue cycle metrics and quality/clinical metrics.
  • Develop and run AI/ML capabilities with a focus on complex systems and predictions.
  • Consolidate and standardize data across multiple systems (financial reporting, Electronic Health Records, payroll, external data sources).
  • Manage a team that utilizes innovative tools and technologies to develop and visualize analytics and dashboards that deliver information in an intelligent and digestible manner.
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience working in data and analytics, data strategy, data science, data visualization, AI/ML and business intelligence.
  • 5+ years of experience managing data science, data engineering, AI/ML, and/or analytics teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python, R programming languages and DB skills (Oracle, SQL as well as unstructured data sources).
  • 3+ years of experience in Data visualization/BI tools like Tableau/Qlik
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications.
  • Experience deploying and managing AI/ML models into production at scale.
  • Health care finance experience a plus, but not required.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

    1. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or an equivalent field. Master’s Degree preferred.
    2. Software/Hardware: Strong skills in Python Machine Learning frameworks preferred with web development skillsExpertise in Python, R programming language, relational database, SQL, Tableau and Qlik. Strong proficiency with Excel (financial modeling & data aggregation, lookups, macros); proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Meditech experience preferred.
