A leader in the Senior Care Advisory industry is looking for a passionate, collaborative, and results-oriented Manager of Technology to join their rapidly-growing company. The candidate must have broad knowledge in designing, creating, and supporting modern web services. This position reports to the VP of Technology and will build responsive sites using the latest tech stack. This role will also lead teams of frontend and backend developers.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Gather system requirements, evaluate new feature proposals, and guide system improvements with senior engineers and tech leads from multiple teams.
  • Test technologies, administer proof of concept, and present it to tech peers and CTO.
  • Work with the content and editorial teams and understand the requirements to create a world-class web application.
  • Guide and help each engineer to create and execute personal and professional development plans that map to the company’s goals.
  • Provide the motivation and tools for the team to make independent decisions for personal and professional success.
  • Create success metrics with other Engineering and Product Managers.
  • Aggressively recruit talented and passionate engineers.

    Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience
  • Expert skills and knowledge in Analytics and Advertising integrations
  • At least 5 years of tech experience in high traffic website development and support
  • JavaScript or Typescript development experience
  • Experience in modern websites and services development using Next.js and React
  • Solid understanding of AWS Services, CI/CD, and Docker Containers
  • Solid experience in API design and development including GraphQL and REST  
  • Experience in component library implementation using StoryBook.js
  • Database technologies experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
  • Hands on architecting and industry leading frameworks and patterns
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, XP, and etc. with focus on app performance, security, and maintainability
  • Experience with leading software developer teams that built consumer grade web apps
  • Excellent organizational, communication skills, and can work with product development teams 
  • Open to travel (Must have proof of Covid-19 vaccination)
