A leading provider of financial management technologies in the US is looking to hire an enthusiastic Director of Technology to lead their IT development, infrastructure, and integrations. This position reports to the CEO and must have the skills to be a leader in the company department that features Infrastructure, App Development, Quality Assurance, and InfoSec.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a leadership role while being passionate about customers and problem solving. They must also be resourceful, proactive, tech savvy, and curious.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a strategic IT vision and roadmap that supports the company’s goals
  • Establish system and business requirements with senior leadership for new tech projects
  • Create vendor partnerships and direct vendor relationships for best financial return and performance
  • Provide appropriate technologies solutions and improve IT organizational structure to support the business
  • Consolidate the company’s Agile SDLC principles across tech teams
  • Prioritize and supply controls and approvals for projects in the organization’s acquisition and major information systems development
  • Capitalize economies of scale by reviewing major hardware, software, and maintenance acquisition contracts for master agreements
  • Build comprehensive methods to risk management and cybersecurity
  • Continually reinforce the organization’s customer-centric values in service delivery
  • Lead the IT organization’s development of appropriate skills aligning with the company’s strategy
  • Perform code audits
  • Stay updated with the latest tech trends, coding standards, and frameworks
  • Document, develop, and evolve workflows and processes continually

    Skill Requirements:

  • HTML, CSS, .Net, JavaScript frameworks, C#, and Ionic framework
  • Java, PHP, and .Net 
  • MySQL, AWS, and Linux
  • RESTful API's design and development experience
  • PCI DSS standards experience

    Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10-12+ years of technology related career experience 
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related/relevant field
  • Experience in leading engineering, service, and technical teams and complex cross-functional projects
  • Expert skills in cybersecurity, third-party integrations, enterprise software, cloud-based IT infrastructure, and software development support
  • Experience in product and budget management and justifying resource needs to senior leadership
  • Solid knowledge and experience with UI/UX
  • Establishing vision, plans, and status experience
  • Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in coaching team member’s capabilities beyond their duties
