A global entertainment company is looking to hire a Front End Engineer with expertise in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The role will be responsible for the writing and implementation of code across various code bases and provide front end support for the company’s products. They will also work with other engineers to create, develop, and implement new features to products and provide solutions to support the business and customers.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement web-based solutions using modern web development methods.
  • Prototype page layouts, new capabilities, and features.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
  • Construct and perform tests on conduct unit and integration.
  • Work with other engineers in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving code issues for websites, third-party vendor solutions, and management systems.
  • Conduct daily app level changes to code and content and maintain graphics on websites.
  • Conduct  design feasibility technical analysis and supply input on usability.
  • Review code, provide feedback, and promote best practices in software development.
  • Ensure effective testing, code quality, and continuous integration.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Expert skills in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (preferably ES6).
  • Advanced knowledge with SEO and Analytics.
  • Good knowledge of UX design.
  • Jquery, Git (or similar tool), Wordpress (or other content management systems) experience.
  • Single page app experience like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience with yarn and webpack or other front-end dependency managers.
  • Ruby on Rails, C#, Python, PHP, or .Net Core experience is a plus.
  • Web performance budgeting knowledge.
  •  

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of web and/or mobile app development experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be highly self-motivated with great attention to detail.
