An iconic restaurant group is looking to hire an experienced IT Technician. The role primarily involves maintenance of all associated software and computer workstations’ reliability within the whole restaurants’ network and corporate office. The successful applicant should be eager to learn as well as to grow professionally and technically.
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Focuses primarily on the areas of data management, desktop support (software and hardware) and computer operations.
  • Carries out different complicated IT support duties to guarantee smooth technology services delivery.
  • Coordinates or operates, assists and monitors others in the operation of computer software, peripherals and hardware or desired results to be achieved.
  • Performs a wide range of computer operations assignments, company department assistance, equipment repair and maintenance and production job processing by using software, diagnostic tools and computer equipment.
  • Informs supervisors on the technical issues or projects’ status.
  • Uses creativity and judgment in applying and choosing processes correctly and decides when to escalate problems to the next level o support or to the supervisor.
  • Support, monitor, repair and deploy surveillance and CCTV systems (both analog and IP).
  • Troubleshoot and configure phone systems (VOIP), door access controls, etc.
  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of IT work experience required.
  • Applied knowledge of routing, basic networking, DNS and IP/TCP.
  • Extensive understanding of the configuration, troubleshooting and installation of computer components and hardware.
  • In-depth understanding of device drivers, the registry, Microsoft Windows operating systems and group policy.
  • Experience with server maintenance, surveillance systems (analog and IP) or CCTV, phone system (VOIP) and door access control.
  • Ability to explain why and how malware enters corporate environments as well as expertise in malware removal and remediation.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Suit (OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Exchange).
  • Revel POS knowledge preferred.
  • OS software - Microsoft Windows, Adobe and Apple products.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, strategies, procedures and equipment to promote efficient state, national or local security operations for the protection of data, property and people.
  • Familiarity with network tools and ticketing systems preferred. 
  • Knowledge of domain environments, advanced networking, server architecture and virtualization technologies are a big plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Efficient, customer-oriented and polite.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical school or 2 years in college is preferred. Certificate/training and/or 2 to 3 years related experience or a combination of experience and education in IT support services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, PC’s and PC networking. MCSE and A+ Certifications are desired. Windows networking skills are necessary.
  • Professional and positive attitude.
  • Restaurant experience is a huge plus.
