Lead Data Engineer

Salary up to $125k

Implement systems and processes for the movement, enhancement, integration, quality, and availability of both structured and unstructured data.

Communicate directly with senior stakeholders on projects and show innovation and problem-solving skills in all elements of work.

Work with global clients and project teams across geographies and travel to client locations as and when required.

Collaborate and co-ordinate with others including data architects, application engineers, data analysts, and others.

Work with the data already stored in S3 buckets in AWS, using python, spark, SQL to transform, cleanse, apply business logic to that data (develop data products, automate transformation logic)

Required experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in areas such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
5+ years of experience in data engineering
At least 2 years of hands on experience in Python, PySpark/Spark, SQL
Good experience in cloud data technologies preferably AWS data analytics stack (equivalent Azure or GCP experience can be considered)
Experience with job/process automation
Exposure to agile development process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:

Background in marketing
Ability to teach/coach/mentor others virtually, especially for AWS and Spark topics
Exposure to Financial Services and Investment/Asset Management terminology
Experience working with data from Adobe Analytics, Email (response data and other metadata), Salesforce (DM, email- campaign execution), UNICA, MS Dynamic
Data analytics background
