You will provide technical leadership as a senior database engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes or architecture, integrate solutions, and document SQL Server using the full Microsoft SQL Server stack; Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau, and Powershell.
  • Provide and lead technical support for the firm's databases or BI enterprise applications and resources. Third-party tools and Tableau environment as well as third-party software will be utilized as required to support BI operations and services.
  • Lead and manage business intelligence applications and upgrades, as well as technical database support for other initiatives such as vendor selection, business process analysis, and support.
  • Support projects and ongoing services by developing, recording, and managing key data integration processes. Supply data integration services for enterprise applications, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse, in both local and hosted environments (EDW).
  • Assist in the translation of business requirements into technical solutions as a technical liaison between vendors and the business. You will be the point of contact for data initiatives and will provide technical leadership and consulting services as required.
  • Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field is preferred
  • Experience in Business Intelligence of at least 7 years
  • Certification in Microsoft SQL Server is preferred
  • Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of ETL design and Data Warehousing with the use of the Kimball approach
  • Expert Data Analysis or Data Visualization skills with Tableau is required
  • Advanced T-SQL development, optimization, and troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced or expert SSIS, SSRS skills
  • Advanced or intermediate knowledge of Powershell Scripting.
  • C# Scripting in SSIS (Script Task) skills
  • Technical knowledge of data structures, database design, and database architecture methods
  • Solid knowledge of project management procedures
  • Experience using Git as source control and working in an Agile workflow
  • Experience handling return data in XML and JSON, and working with API calls
  • Adequate experience to install, configure, administer, develop and support (primarily, but not exclusively) Microsoft SQL Server databases, and also experience with related technologies.
  • Experience with HA/DR DB strategies in general, SQL AAG in particular, and SQL Server Performance Monitoring.
  • Fundamental knowledge on HTML and CSS.
