Software Engineer II  

A leading television network's sports division is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to work closely with a highly accomplished multi-functional team to put out industry leading e-Commerce websites. The Engineer should possess a passion for creating powerful, high-performance and innovative code by using cutting-edge technologies.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Help out in the maintenance as well as development of full stack projects

Create an exceptional solution for the front end web applications

Contribute to the creation as well as maintain existing applications and websites

Communicate with peers, internal stakeholders and senior colleagues on a regular basis regarding updated and project progress

Work with the internal technical team to perform code reviews

Create technical documentation

Provide technical advice stakeholders and act as go-between to the business

Interpret and work within architect solutions, standards and put out high quality code

Work together with others, provide support and assign tasks such as the delivery of main priorities  

REQUIREMENTS:  

2+ years of work experience as a Software Engineer

2+ years experience consuming and writing web services

2+ years experience with CMS stack (Kentico, Sitecore, Drupal, Wordpress, etc)

Solid experience using programming languages such as .Net

Ability to create a ReST architecture  

PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS:  

Pride and attention to detail in developing user friendly experiences

Ability and enthusiasm to work on any software stack, research and learn

Ability to communicate effectively with the management and peers

Experience with streaming video and VOD on B2C applications

Experience of creating cross payment gateways (Stripe, Vantiv, Vindicia, etc)

Ability to gather requirements as well as document status using a software like Jira
