Parker + Lynch Legal is working on a unique and exciting JUNIOR in-house opportunity! This position is UNPOSTED and EXCLUSIVE – the company is a well-known and widely respected family-owned real estate company based in NYC that handles the development and property management side of their multi-million dollar real estate portfolio. This is a newly created role that is a unique hybrid between legal services and property management! This position will report to the Associate Director of Development and will be a critical part of a small, unique legal team located in the Jersey City, NJ office tasked with the management and development of mixed-use commercial real estate projects in the community with a focus on addressing land use and environmental related legal issues including compliance with government entity and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate has varied experience with land use, environmental and development matters and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Must have at least 2 years of experience with environmental regulatory matters as it relates to the development of real estate, knowledge of compliance with environmental statutes and regulations including ISRA, the Spill Compensation and Control Act, the Site Remediation and Reform Act, environmental permitting process for contaminated sites, etc. Experience with property management or working with engineering professionals on environmental projects is a plus. NJ bar admission required.
