Parker + Lynch Legal is working with a full-service real estate development, management, and investment company seeking a Development Counsel to join their fast-paced team in Charlottesville, VA. This attorney will focus on commercial development and construction while supporting all company platforms. This is an URGENT and IMMEDIATE need, all applications must be presented for consideration by May 7, 2021 so do not wait to reach out.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 6+ years of experience negotiating and drafting of all legal instruments required by the development process including drafting letters of intent (LOIs), memoranda of understanding, backstop instruments, AIA-derived construction agreements with key service providers, and development agreements with clients.
  • Experience must include initiation and review of all legal aspects of acquisition and development due diligence such as surveys, environmental reports, feasibility studies, zoning, and other regulatory compliance issues geotechnical analyses.
  • This position will work with the business team in structuring complex development transactions from the initial RFP response to the closing of land purchases and construction financing; identify risks and concerns while presenting potential solution-driven alternatives to challenging deal matters and business issues.
