Parker and Lynch is currently conducting a direct hire search for a Application Developer potion in Seattle, WA. Our client is seeking an experienced person to join their expanding, dynamic and vibrant team!

 

Essential Functions of the App Developer Position

  • Adhere to established best practices within the development process
  • Act as resource for problem detection and resolution - implementing solutions as new applications or extensions of existing ones.
  • Full stack maintenance and development of existing line of business application written in Java and JavaScript
  • Work with the appropriate team to keep the public website up to date
  • Ensure problem solving involves writing in a language that make sense for codebase and users 

Qualifications for the position:

Education/Certification:  High school diploma requires - Bachelors degree preferred

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4 years with software app and design in Java
  • Minimum 2 years managing tech development projects
  • Proficient in app development and maintenance; writing readable, maintainable, and perform Java and JavaScript. AWS – RDS, Spring / Spring Boot, React, AWS – Elastic Beanstalk, or Elasticsearch & Logstash experience is a plus
  • Experience as a member of a development team using an agile development process (Scrum Master certification is a plus)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technology skills
  • High-level software skills (MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBi, AWS)
  • Proficient with front end HTML/CSS development
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software through education when required and demonstration of professional development
  • High-level understanding of end-to-end systems
  • Proficient with relational databases and SQL
  • Proficient in developing and supporting cloud-based applications, specifically on AWS
  • Ability to create, adjust and maintain reports in PowerBi
  • Deep understanding of system design and data structures
  • Demonstrated ability to make data model updates and understand the importance of proper modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently scope size and feasibility of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to speak, write and understand English
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills            
  • Basic understanding of real estate preferred
