Parker and Lynch is currently conducting a direct hire search for a Data Administrator/Developer position on the Eastside. Our client is looking for an experienced Data Admin/Developer to join their stable, growing company.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work in collaboration and synergy with the development team to support, investigate and troubleshoot database development initiatives and application development needs
  • Maintain database integrity and security in addition to developing and maintaining database disaster recovery plans - guaranteeing that database are fully recoverable and backed up, in conjunction with overall DR initiatives 
  • Manage performance tuning of databases, indexes, stored procedures, SQL queries and applications
  • Install, configure, deploy and migrate database systems as needed
  • Monitor database growth and allocates storage ans conducts capacity planning
  • Conduct SQL code reviews and design reviews with development team, and provide written and verbal review feedback to team members

  • Work with Development Team Lead and Director of IT to implement and maintain database source control and automated database deployment methods

  • Create and maintain documentation of IT database processes, procedures, and policies

  •  Evaluate new and emerging software and other technologies that pertain to database needs

  • Keep Development Team Lead and Director of IT informed of project progress, potentially controversial matters, and any far-reaching implications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field
  • 5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration and application development experience, from the user interface to n-tier design, SQL Server relational database layout and development
  • Strong experience in using:
    • SQL and T-SQL
    •  C#, ASP.Net
    •  HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • XML
    • JSON
  • Strong understanding of application security, load balancing, app monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Communicates effectively and thoroughly with IT Development team lead, Infrastructure Supervisor and all other employees as appropriate
  • Maintains professional, positive, and supportive demeanor and attitude toward co-workers, and members as appropriate
  • Committed to exceptional customer service
