Database Administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Data Administrator for our client.  They are growing and adding an additional team member to our team!  We are excited for this team member to bring forth their ideas and thoughts!  If you are a qualified individual, please apply.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, coordinate, develop, and test applications and databases for enterprise release.
  • Ensure applications conform to business strategies, tactics, and objectives.
  • Evaluate system's production readiness and supportability.
  • Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design requirements within time and cost restraints.
  • Perform capacity planning, cluster set up, performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Partners with manager and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
  • Proactively and continuously evaluates and addresses application issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility.
  • Meet IT expectations with the utilization and maintenance of the helpdesk tracking software.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Document technical requirements and processes.

Requirements:

  • High-level Progress programming and related technical skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities, planning, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail and follow through.
  • Maturity and ability to work independently and with a team in a dynamic project environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and drive projects from concept to conclusion; work independently, manage multiple tasks, and set and reset priorities with direction or feedback from management and teammates.
  • Interpreting and applying rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, and high-pressure environment interacting with cross functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
