Parker + Lynch is seeking a Project Manager to join our client’s team in West Sacramento, CA. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible on executing multiple technical projects from initiation through closing to meet the 3 project constraints, lead cross functional teams to meet project goals and achieve high customer’s satisfaction.
 

Duties and Responsibilities :
• Responsible for management and control of scope, timeline, resources to meet project objectives
• Defines the goals and objectives of specific project and defines individual team member’s roles and responsibilities for the duration of the project
• Identifies problem areas, evaluates, and initiates corrective action, monitors, and reschedules the project schedule with respect of time and required resources.
• Identifies and records changes to the project scope of supply and negotiates change orders for customer driven changes.
• Maintains issues list/punch list for each project
• Ensure resource allocations are appropriate to reach objectives
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Establish areas for improvement and implement programs and process
• Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
• Manages the project plan by identifying critical path, constraints, contingencies and mitigations to achieve project objectives.
• Certification in project management (PMP) desired
• Strong project management, planning, decision making, negotiating and change management skills
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; able to influence, negotiation, and presentation skill
• Coordinating and facilitating project meetings including kick-off meetings, project team meetings, risk assessments, lessons learned, post launch reviews and additional meetings as required
• Acts as primary liaison between the Company and the Customer to ensure project launch, conduct, and closeout according to the project management process and Company's contractual agreement.

• Prepares project management reports for clients and management.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure that the client’s needs are being captured.
• Work with regional Sales and Applications Support (SASE) Engineers, and global project engineering teams to help build the best practices, designs, and transfer knowledge internally.

 

Required Skills/abilities:
• 2+ years’ experience in leading or directing projects
• 2+ years’ experience managing budget, scope, and time
• Knowledge of project management and familiarity capturing customer specifications, then transferring them to production teams
• Knowledge of project management, field service and customer support
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with customers in the English language are necessary.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work on problems of diverse scope.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal and external associates, and management.
• Independent and self-motivated
• Person who takes initiative and work is accurate
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & oral) to interact with different stakeholders
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, squat and/or stand for long periods of time

 

Experience:
• 2+ years’ experience in a technical project management role Or Internship in a technical capacity.
• Experience working with CAD software systems preferred
• Knowledge of project management and familiarity capturing customer specifications, then transferring them to production teams.
• Knowledge of project management, field service and customer support.
• Spanish and other languages are a plus
 

Education:
• A Bachelor's degree in project management, business or engineering.
