Parker + Lynch is hiring a DevOps Software Engineering Manager for one of our top clients in the Arlington VA area. The qualified candidate should have a background in Development and DevOps. What you will do:

  • Support transformation of established infrastructure using automation.
  • Handle project management and reporting on time-sensitive initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code
  • Work with API development, middleware, storage, messaging, and cloud technology capabilities.
  • Design and develop reusable components, code, and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, as well as update these items as needed to build CD pipelines; ensuring rapid availability of products.
  • Deploy and decommission client environments for multi as well as single hosted applications following established processes and procedures.
  • Monitor system and application performance to detect errors, apply testing procedures/methodologies (e.g. diagnostic software), as well as provide interpretation of data.
  • Lead incident management calls and coordinate resources through resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for new digital capabilities and products that transform our clients experience as well as the experience of our associates.
  • Mentor and collaborate with cross functional teams through the full lifecycle of product development (research, prototype, test, and build).
  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader.
  • What you need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or applicable experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Software development, DevOps, and leadership
  • 2+ years people management experience
  • Software Development background preferably in C#, .net core environment
  • Strong DevOps background within Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, open APIs and AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Collaborative, team player that can navigate and influence the organization
  • Strong team leadership and mentorship skills. Prior people management experience a must.
