System Administrator

Parker + Lynch is searching for a contract System Administrator for one of our clients in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The right candidate needs to be motivated and able to work individually and as a part of a team.  This role is for a minimum of 6 months with the possibility of hire and pays $34-$40 per hour.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Resolving complex application and system integration issues, collaborating with other teams when necessary
  • Maintaining current systems, and ensuring optimal performance
  • Supporting current systems, including DNS, DHCP, WINS, MS Certificate Authorities
  • Monitoring and maintenance of servers, switches, and networks
  • Researching, analyzing, and collaborating on improvements that can be made within the department, including working with network, security, and vendor teams to ensure requirements are met
  • Researching and working with stakeholders on new systems, applications, and other programs to implement
  • To qualify for this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration and security
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field
  • Experience with Windows Server deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and support
  • Experience working directly with users, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Cisco, Exchange, Active Directory, and many other systems
