Finding an attorney with real estate and corporate experience who would work with a team
of farmers and other business staff, while reporting to a high profile principal.
"Parker + Lynch was able to source and provide candidates on-point with our company and
our goals and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be more pleased."
The client, a local farming organization owned by a national private equity investment firm, had
their first need for an in-house attorney. They conducted their own search for a full year and were
unable to find the right attorney that matched their needs and their business culture. The client
was looking for an attorney with strong business acumen with real estate and corporate experience
who would become an integrated member of a team of farmers and other business staff, while reporting
to a high-profile principal.
Following an unsuccessful search, the client reached out to Parker + Lynch to assist with their
in-house attorney search. Parker + Lynch attorney recruiters are largely former practicing attorneys
with legal and industry experience. The client was referred to our recruiter from one of their
outside counsels, a local client of the Parker + Lynch team. The client was a bit unsure about
leveraging a recruitment firm to assist with their search. They weren’t sure what our team would be
able to do for their search that they weren’t able to capture on their own. However, after sourcing
internally for over a year and not finding the quality of candidates they were looking for, they
decided to try an outside search firm. As such, the client gave us a 3-week challenge to provide A+
candidates that met their needs. Within the first round of interviewing, the client said their
challenge had been met. Additionally, the client said “Parker + Lynch brought credibility to their
search,” something they didn’t even realize was missing from their own search.
The candidate who was ultimately offered the position indicated that they had seen the job posting
from the client last year, but didn’t apply because they had no knowledge of the client. The
candidate saw the job posting from Parker + Lynch and applied because of our reputation in the
market. The noted candidate received an offer from the client, but ultimately declined because the
candidate could no longer relocate. Parker + Lynch was able to supply additional candidates of
similar caliber to the client within one week of the declined offer. The client ultimately narrowed
the selection to three of our candidates and successfully made their offer within seven weeks.
